We were upgraded during check in and the Junior suite was a slice of heaven. Worse the second floor is close to street level so until 2am you had parties roaming past swearing, drunk and making a helluva noise and when they werent making a racket the local pubs and hotels were emptying their bottles and they were smashing bottles etc. Staff are exceptionally well trained. I understand this is an old, historic building and yes, it was so beautiful from the outside and was gorgeous in the lobby as well. We though this incredibly mean considering the astronomical room rates being charged during the Festival.
